Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 15, was spotted training in the nets ahead of the second T20I between England and India, set to be played on July 4 in Manchester. During the practice session, Suryavanshi, fully padded and waiting for his turn to bat, was seen engaged in an intense conversation with teammate Tilak Varma.
The youngster walked over to Tilak, who was also geared up and awaiting his chance in the nets. Suryavanshi was also seen casually tossing a ball in his hand while continuing what appeared to be a long and serious discussion with Tilak. Watch the video here:

The left-handed batter was not included in India’s playing XI for the opening T20I. After winning the toss, the Men in Blue posted a competitive total of 189/7. However, persistent rain prevented any further play, forcing the match to be abandoned.
Meanwhile, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who also missed the two T20Is against Ireland, is still awaiting his international debut. With four matches remaining in the series against England, the youngster is expected to earn a place in the playing XI soon.
Former India Coach Questions Decision to Bench Vaibhav Suryavanshi
Meanwhile, several former cricketers have backed Vaibhav Suryavanshi for a place in the playing XI, with former India all-rounder and coach Ravi Shastri among the strongest supporters. Shastri openly voiced his disappointment with the team management for keeping the young talent on the bench.
He also stated that Suryavanshi should have been given an opportunity during the series against Ireland itself.
“Arre voh khelna chahiye thha yaar ( He should have played) in Ireland. It was a slow track with spongy bounce there. He would have given it a hammering there. So he should have played there.”
”But here in England, I am not sure whether they will play him or not. However, he should play as soon as possible. He smashed everyone in the IPL. Which fast bowler did he spare? And here you are making him warm the bench,” he said on Sony Sports Network.
