[WATCH] Vaibhav Suryavanshi Signs Autographs In U19 Series

14-year-old opening batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi engaged with fans after the conclusion of the first unofficial Test between England Under-19 and India Under-19 on Tuesday, July 15, at the Kent County Cricket Ground in Beckenham. Following the match, Suryavanshi was seen signing autographs and taking photos with young fans, making time to interact warmly with supporters near the boundary line.

In the match, India chose to bat first and posted an imposing total of 540 in their first innings, led by captain Ayush Mhatre’s century (102). England responded strongly with a score of 439, anchored by a solid 93 from Rocky Flintoff, the son of former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff. In their second innings, India were dismissed for 248, with Vihaan Malhotra scoring a team-high 63.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi (56) and RS Ambrish (53) also chipped in with important half-centuries. Set a target of 350, England ended Day 4 on 270/7 after 63 overs, and the match concluded in a draw. The second unofficial Test is scheduled to commence on Sunday, July 20, at the County Ground in Chelmsford.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi Emerges As Top Scorer In Youth ODI Series vs England U-19

Before the ongoing two-match unofficial Test series, India and England competed in a five-match Youth ODI series, which India narrowly won 3–2. One of the standout performers for the visitors was Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who finished as the tournament’s leading run-scorer and played a pivotal role in the series victory.

The left-handed batter amassed 355 runs in five innings, averaging 71.00 with an extraordinary strike rate of 174.01. His most explosive performance came in the fourth ODI, where he scored a blazing century off just 52 balls—setting a new record for the fastest hundred in Youth ODI history, surpassing Pakistan’s Kamran Ghulam’s 53-ball mark.

Suryavanshi ended that innings with a sensational 143 off 78 balls, which included 13 boundaries and 10 sixes.
