[WATCH]- Vijaykumar Vyshak Keeps Cool After Bowling Out Jitesh Sharma In IPL 2025 Final Clash

Punjab Kings (PBKS) fast bowler Vijaykumar Vyshak secured an important and well-timed wicket by dismissing the dangerous Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsman Jitesh Sharma during the IPL 2025 final. The much-anticipated match is taking place on Tuesday, June 3, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The key breakthrough happened on the fourth ball of the 18th over in RCB’s innings. Vyshak delivered a length ball, and as Jitesh attempted a powerful shot, he only managed to get a thick inside edge that struck his back thigh before deflecting onto the stumps—giving PBKS a crucial wicket. Although Vyshak was tempted to celebrate with a fist pump, he restrained himself.

PBKS Need 191 Runs to Clinch Their First-Ever IPL Title

After being asked to bat first, Phil Salt gave Royal Challengers Bengaluru a blazing start by hitting a four and a six off Arshdeep Singh in the opening over. However, his quick-fire innings ended in the next over when Kyle Jamieson dismissed him for 16 off 9 balls.

Virat Kohli then partnered with Mayank Agarwal to add 38 runs off 28 balls for the second wicket before Agarwal fell for 24 off 18. Captain Rajat Patidar chipped in with a useful 26 off 16 deliveries. Kohli, despite a steady start, couldn’t capitalize and was sent back by Azmatullah Omarzai for 43 off 35 in the 15th over.

Liam Livingstone (25 off 15) and Jitesh Sharma (24 off 10) made impactful contributions in the latter stages, helping RCB reach a solid total of 190/9 in their 20 overs. Jamieson and Arshdeep were the standout bowlers with three wickets each, while Yuzvendra Chahal, Vijaykumar Vyshak, and Omarzai chipped in with one wicket apiece.
