[Watch] Virat Kohli Almost Breaks Stumps In Anger In RCB Training

Virat Kohli

Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli was seen fuming after getting bowled out in one of the training sessions. The talismanic run-scorer almost broke the stumps in anger.

Incidentally, Kohli has been playing solely as a batter as he relinguished his leadership duties at the end of the last season. Hence, he is keen to make a mark with the bat as Bangalore chase their maiden IPL title. He has had a couple of starts but has failed to convert them into big knocks.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli was recently spotted losing his calm after he got out in the training. Kohli was visibly upset after he was bowled by a leg-spinner trying to cut the delivery. In a video that has gone viral on social media, the ex-RCB skipper almost broke the stumps in anger on his poor shot.

Virat Kohli smashes bat at the ground after controversial decision vs MI

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli’s frustration continued in the game against Mumbai Indians, where he got out to a controversial LBW decision. With the match done and dusted, Rohit Sharma introduced young Dewald Brevis into the attack. He bowled a length delivery sliding through on middle. It looked like an inside edge before it hit the pad.

Brevis along with other Mumbai Indians teammates appealed and Virender Sharma obliged to it, raising his fingers. However, Virat Kohli was sure that the ball had hit his bat before it hit the pad and went for the review.

Replays showed that the bat was not that far in front of the pad and might have taken a faint edge before hitting the legs. However, the TV umpire thought otherwise and ruled it in favour of the fielding team. Virat Kohli, on his way back to the dugout, smashed his bat on the ground in agony with the controversial decision. He also missed the half-century by two runs.
