In pursuit of 219 runs for victory, CSK required 201 runs to surpass RCB in net run rate and advance to the playoffs. With 22 runs needed from the final over, MS Dhoni smashed a six off Yash Dayal’s first delivery.

However, the RCB paceman staged a strong comeback, guiding his team to the knockout stage. Sharma, a renowned Bollywood actress and wife of Kohli, was present in the stands to support her husband. Following the victory, Sharma was seen in joy, celebrating the win passionately and almost shedding tears of happiness.

In terms of the match outcome, RCB emerged victorious over defending champions Chennai Super Kings by a margin of 27 runs, securing the fourth and last playoff position in the Indian Premier League.

Before this, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, and Sunrisers Hyderabad had already secured playoff berths. Opting to bat first, RCB set a formidable target of 218 for five against CSK in their crucial must-win encounter.
