[WATCH]- Virat Kohli Begins 2nd ODI vs South Africa With Six Off Lungi Ngidi

Veteran Indian batsman Virat Kohli began his innings with flair, launching South African pacer Lungi Ngidi for a six in the second ODI of the three-match series. The match is taking place on Wednesday, December 3, in Raipur. The highlight came on the last ball of the sixth over of India’s innings, when Ngidi delivered a short ball at 131.5 kph.

Kohli skillfully pulled it over backward square leg, reaching his first runs with a six off only his fourth delivery.

The Delhi-born batsman will aim to produce another game-changing performance following his Player of the Match-winning effort in the first ODI, where he scored 135 runs off 120 balls, hitting 11 fours and seven sixes. His brilliant innings played a key role in India’s 17-run victory while defending a total of 349.

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and chose to field, sending India in to bat. Yashasvi Jaiswal got off to a flying start, dispatching a boundary off the very first delivery. In the fifth over, Rohit Sharma hit three successive fours off Nandre Burger but was then caught by Quinton de Kock on the fifth ball, ending his innings at 14 from eight deliveries.

Virat Kohli came in at No. 3 and began his innings with a six. Since then, Jaiswal and Kohli have steadied India’s innings. At the time of reporting, India were 59/1 after eight overs, with Jaiswal on 21 and Kohli on eight.
