Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli consistently showcases his emotions on the field, as he did once more on Sunday (April 8) while batting in the match between Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The event occurred during the sixth over as Virat Kohli faced Sai Kishore. The southpaw bowler delivered an excellent first over, allowing only four runs and claiming the valuable wicket of Faf du Plessis. Following his strong performance in the fourth over, Sai Kishore was entrusted with bowling the last over of the powerplay.

On the opening delivery, Sai Kishore allowed a single to Will Jacks, then delivered a dot ball to Virat Kohli. With just four balls left in the powerplay, the ex-RCB captain opted to challenge the spinner. On the third delivery, he launched a six over long-off, and he repeated the feat with another six on the fourth ball.

Following the consecutive sixes, Virat Kohli displayed his animated demeanour. The cameras captured him uttering a few profanities, showcasing his pumped-up state after those two shots.

Virat Kohli has been in sublime form

In regards to the match, as of the time of this report, RCB stood at 121 for 1 in the 12th over. Virat Kohli was batting at 63, with Will Jacks not out on 27.

Earlier in the match, GT achieved a score of 200/3 in the allotted 20 overs after being asked to bat first. GT initially struggled, but half-centuries from Sai Sudharsan and Shahrukh Khan aided their recovery, resulting in a competitive total.

RCB is aiming for their third win of the season and their second consecutive victory. They secured an impressive win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in their previous match, ending a six-match losing streak.

They aspire to continue their winning momentum in the current match. Currently, they have won only two of their first nine games and must win their remaining matches to stay in contention for a playoff berth.
