An old video clip of Indian captain Virat Kohli receiving an award for his performance in a Test match has gone viral. This video that has been making the rounds on Twitter dates back to 2019.
The video shows the Indian captain receiving a trophy for being the “Pepsi Swag Player of the match” after his 136-run innings, which helped India thrash Bangladesh by an innings in the first-ever day/night Test match in India, at the iconic Eden Gardens. In the video, Kohli first shakes hands with the presenter and then moves his hand forward to take the award.
But instead of giving the award, the presenter shakes hands again. The Indian skipper then again points towards the trophy as if saying that “Please give me my trophy”. Kohli then chuckles while posing for the camera, finding the entire episode amusing.

Virat Kohli seen consoling Ishan Kishan
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli’s RCB did well to bounce back in IPL 2021 by defeating Mumbai Indians on Sunday. RCB defeated Mumbai by 54 runs, with various heroes gracing their victory.
“Very happy and especially the way we won. It was a difficult start with the loss of Devdutt [Padikkal] in the second over. The way Jasprit [Bumrah] bowled that over, totally set the game up for MI. It was important from thereon for us to stamp our presence in the game and take a little bit of risk. I got off to a good start and KS [Srikar Bharat] took the pressure off me, Maxi’s [Maxwell] innings was unbelievable as well. I thought we got par, 166 is par here, still felt like 10-15 more with the way we bowled. 8 for 30 was unbelievable against such a strong batting lineup” said the RCB captain.
