Indian cricketer Virat Kohli paid a visit to politician Rahul Kanal’s house to seek the blessing of Lord Ganesh on Wednesday, September 20 in Mumbai. Several videos from the veteran batters’ visit to Rahul Kanal’s house have gone viral on social media.
In a video shared by CricWatcher on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Virat Kohli can be seen meeting Rahul Kanal’s family members at the latter’s house. He was dressed in a traditional black kurta and also took the blessings of Lord Ganesh. He was also spotted by paparazzi outside the house as he walked towards his car. The Indian batter waved to the fans who gathered outside the house.

Virat Kohli rested for the first two ODIs against Australia
Veteran batter Virat Kohli has been rested for the first two ODI matches against Australia ahead of the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup. Along with him, Skipper Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya have also been rested for the first two matches. They will be back for the third ODI match.
“People like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma specifically, from our perspective, it’s really important to get them to that World Cup physically and mentally in the space that they want to be in. They know how they need to prepare themselves and a lot of these decisions are made in discussions with them senior and more experienced guys have their routines and know how they want to prepare in the lead-up to a big event like the World Cup,” said Head coach Rahul Dravid on resting senior players for Australia series.
The three-match ODI series got underway on Friday, September 22 in Mohali. Indore and Rajkot will host the remaining two matches. This series will be key to India’s preparations for the upcoming World Cup. They will also play a couple of matches, leading to the event.
