The championship marked the final World Cup appearance for the legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar. Now, as the fans eagerly anticipate the 2023 World Cup, Team India will be aiming to replicate that historic victory, this time to honour veteran batter, Virat Kohli.

The seasoned cricketer has an average of 46.81 in ODI World Cup matches. He has scored 1,030 runs in 26 appearances, including two centuries and six half-centuries. He is second on the list of the most runs scored for India at ODI World Cups. The right-hander has also led India at the 2015 and 2019 ODI World Cups.
