Virat Kohli, the star cricketer known for his love of hardcore Punjabi music, has never shied away from expressing his appreciation for regional songs. Recently, he opened up about his favorites, including Bollywood playback singer Arijit Singh. But his current favorite is quite a surprise.

In a video shared by Royal Challengers Bengaluru on social media, Virat revealed that his present go-to track is a number called “Nee Singam Dhan” from the movie Pathu Thala. Composed by A.R. Rahman and sung by Sid Sriram, the Tamil hit was released in April 2023.

What is interesting is the fact that Virat Kohli, born in New Delhi, by no means refers to Tamil as his mother tongue. Still, the cricketer has put “Nee Singam Dhan” on loop, which shows that nothing stops him from enjoying good music. In a light banter, Kohli dubbed the song his favorite while he played it on his phone and held it before the camera. This revelation certainly piqued a fan’s interest in seeking information about his musical taste.

Virat Kohli’s Stellar Performance in IPL 2025

Virat Kohli has been in dazzling form on the cricket field for IPL 2025. So far, in 10 matches, the 36-year-old has amassed runs equaling 443 at a remarkable batting average of 63.28 and a strike rate of 138.87.

With six fifties, Virat is currently placed second on the IPL 2025 Orange Cap list, trailing first-positioned Sai Sudharsan only by 13 runs. His performance has been one of the main assets for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their journey through the tournament.

Virat’s next test against their arch-rivals, the Chennai Super Kings, will be on May 03 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The previous time these two teams locked horns at the same venue, it was an enthralling last-over finish that saw RCB emerge victorious. Another win against CSK will cement RCB’s forte in the league table. Virat Kohli’s form and leadership would prime the scale on which this match will turn.
