Indian actress Anushka Sharma has revealed that she is batting taking tips from her husband Virat Kohli, to prepare for her upcoming movie ‘Chakda Express’. She expressed that she sends batting videos to get Virat’s feedback.

The film Chakda Express is based on the life of legendary cricketer Jhulan Goswami. The actress is undergoing training to practice all-around cricket skills and imitate Jhulan’s body language. In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Anushka revealed that she turns to Virat Kohli for batting tips. She said,

“We definitely discuss my progress. Whenever I’ve had a good day learning, I like to share my videos with Virat, to get his feedback. Luckily, he’s not a bowler so I listen to my coach more. But I do turn to Virat for batting tips.”

I appreciate how mentally pressurizing it can be to play cricket: Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma further added that she appreciated how mentally pressurizing cricket is for the players. The game also demands great fitness and is physically draining. Anushka recalled how Virat Kohli used to visit the film sets and wonder how they work. She added that now the roles have turned and Anushka discusses with him for her film.

“I always appreciated how mentally pressurizing it can be to play cricket, but now, I also understand how physically draining it is. I remember when Virat would sometimes come to see me on a film set, and he would watch us on late-night shoots or in very cold places, he would be bewildered and wonder how we were able to do it. Now, I talk to him about the things that he’s been doing for so many years,” said Anushka Sharma.

The Chakda Express film is likely to release next year and will be streamed on Netflix.
