Who Qualifies If AUS vs IND Women’s World Cup 2025 Semifinal Is Washed Out?

Australia Women vs India Women

Australia Women vs India Women

India are set to face Australia in the second semifinal of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Thursday, October 30. The winner will meet South Africa in the final at the same venue on November 2. However, if rain washes out the semifinal, Australia will advance to the final as they finished higher on the points table.

Australia topped the league stage with six wins and one no result, while India secured the fourth spot with seven points from seven matches. In their earlier encounter, Australia defeated India by three wickets in a high-scoring contest.

If rain interrupts Thursday’s match, officials will try to complete the game by reducing the number of overs.

At least 20 overs per side are required for a valid result. Should the game remain incomplete, it will resume on the reserve day, October 31. If rain disrupts the India-Australia semifinal and overs are reduced but no play takes place afterward, a new 50-over match will be held on the reserve day.

However, if play begins after the overs have been reduced and the match is later interrupted, it will resume on the reserve day from the exact point where it was halted.
