Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has been struggling with his form for the last couple of years. He was not able to play any impactful innings in the recently concluded tour of England. Kohli’s struggle has drawn a lot of criticism from experts and fans, who have questioned his place in the team. The veteran batter’s die-hard fans have always stood with him, despite his inconsistent performance.

On Sunday, during the second ODI match between India and West Indies, Virat Kohli fans missed the former Indian skipper. They carried a banner for the veteran cricketer to the ground. Kohli has been rested for the West Indies tour and is likely to make a comeback to the Indian team next month. Kohli’s fans brought the banner to show support for the cricketer, who is going through a prolonged lean patch.

The banner at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad read, ‘Miss You Virat Kohli’ and ‘Once a king, always a king.’ The picture of the banner was uploaded on social media, which is being loved by Twitterati and has gone viral.

Virat Kohli missed the first ODI match against England in the recently concluded series due to an injury. However, he returned back for the next two matches. Virat Kohli should play as many games as possible: Dilip Vengsarkar

The decision to rest Virat Kohli from India’s tour of the West Indies was highly criticized by some of the former cricketers and fans. Former cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar also shared the same thoughts and questioned the selector’s decision to rest the Indian cricketer, when he is not in the best of forms. He expressed that Virat Kohli should play as much as possible to get back in form.

“I don’t understand why the Indian selectors have rested him for the West Indies series. If he is in their scheme of things for the T20 World Cup in Australia, he should play as many games as possible to get his form and confidence back. That would help him,” said Dilip Vengsarkar as quoted by DNA.
