“Worst Review Of All Time”- Comical Review From RCB Sparks Meme-Fest On Twitter

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders are currently facing each other in Match 6 of IPL 2022. RCB skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to field.

RCB did everything right during the KKR batting. Except taking a DRS in last ball of the 16th over. Harshal Patel bowled a full-length delivery to Varun Chakravarthy. The ball hit the middle of the bat of Chakravarthy. But to everyone’s surprise, RCB took a review.

In the last ball of the 17th over, the ball took the inside edge of Umesh Yadav’s bat and struck the pads. But bowler Mohammed Siraj was confident of an LBW. This time skipper Faf just smiled and politely denied the request to take a DRS.

Here is how Twitter reacted to RCB’s comical review:

Talking about the match, RCB bowlers were clinical in their performance. Wanindu Hasaranga picked 4 wickets conceding just 20 runs in his spell. Young pacer Akash Deep also chipped in with 3 wickets.

Harshal Patel bowled an economical spell conceding just 11 runs and picking 2 wickets. KKR were All-out for 128 runs.

I am emotionally attached to RCB: Yuzvendra Chahal

Ahead of IPL 2022 auction, fans had expected RCB to retain veteran spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. But that did not happen. Chahal later was signed by Rajasthan Royals in the auction.

In a chat with TOI, He recently opened about the discussion with RCB before the auctions. Chahal said:

“I am emotionally attached to RCB. I never thought I would play for some other team. People and fans on social media are still asking me ‘why did you ask for this much money?’. The reality is that Mike Hesson (RCB Director of Cricket) called me and said ‘Listen Yuzi, there are three retentions’ (Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj).

“They didn’t ask me whether I wanted to be retained or tell me if they wanted to retain me. They just talked about the three retentions and I was told that – ‘we will go for you in the auction’. Neither was I asked about money nor did I get any offer of retention.”
