Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s powerful WPL 2026 run to date received a boost on Saturday when they defeated Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The win takes RCB’s winning streak to four games.

Smriti Mandhana’s rapid 96 and Georgia Voll’s not-out fifty guided RCB to 169 for 2 following Delhi’s dismissal for 166 in 20 overs. Mandhana’s stormy innings was the main contributor that made RCB’s victory easy; she was eventually replaced by Voll, who, without much fuss, took RCB to the target.

The entire match was characterized by a spectacular performance from the captain, Smriti Mandhana, whose phenomenal knock of 96 runs made the victory for Delhi impossible. Along with her, Georgia Voll played a significant role by scoring fifty not out to confirm that the team crossed the target without any problem. They both led RCB to 169/2, easily going beyond the total that the Capitals had set.

The RCB bowlers Lauren Bell (3-26) and Sayali Satghare (3-27) made their mark early by taking four wickets in the very first nine balls after the team decided to bowl. After Shafali Verma scored 62 runs, an untested player, Lucy Hamilton, came in quickly with 36 from 19 balls, helping the total of Delhi, which was 166, all out.

A stunning 96 off 61 balls by Smriti Mandhana almost got the WPL century, which was the tournament’s first. She was so close to it when Hamilton caught her superbly at the backward point but had already set RCB on the path to victory with their excellent stroke-play.

Voll’s unbroken 54 led RCB to a total of 169 for 2 with ten balls to go. RCB finished the Navi Mumbai leg of the tournament without a single defeat, whereas Delhi was left with three losses in their last four matches.
