WTC Final 2023: Fans React On Rohit Sharma’s “DRS Review” Gesture During The Match

Rohit Sharma requested a DRS review during the India vs. Australia World Test Championship (WTC) Final at The Oval, but ultimately decided against it in a hilarious way, confusing both the fans and the experts.

Despite hitting Alex Carey’s stumps with the final ball of the 97th over. Mohammed Shami’s delivery was not called out.

Whether the ball would hit the stumps was a question that the Indian cricketers were not entirely convinced. But it appeared that Rohit would request a review.

His hands moved just as he was about to make a gesture to indicate that the ball would have missed the leg-stump.

Harsha Bhogle refers to Rohit Sharma during the IND vs. AUS match as “naughty.”

The 35-year-old skipper of the Indian ship looked as though he was going to the top floor for a DRS review. But he didn’t finish the signal as the cameras turned to him.

With his gesture, Rohit Sharma confounded everyone, including the umpires and commentators.

He was then seen laughing about it with prominent all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. It appeared that they were saying that the ball had gone to the leg side.

Harsha Bhogle, a commentator for Star Sports, explained Rohit’s gesture live on air as the action progressed. “He obviously made the signal, so this is interesting”.

“At that point, I also believed that the time had run out. He’s just playing around, I see. Rohit, you did a fantastic job”.

Bhogle was overheard saying “Oh, I tell you these naughty captains” during the live broadcast of the WTC Final between IND and AUS.
