“Unforgettable Few Days” – Bavuma After South Africa’s Historic WTC Win

During the post-match presentation following the WTC final, Temba Bavuma thanked the fans for their unwavering support throughout the Test and spoke with pride about his team’s effort. Reflecting on the triumph, he stated:

“It’s been a special couple of days! All the support from back home and here has paid off. We have been able to silence the doubters and put together a special performance! Hopefully, it is going to sink in a couple of days. The energy was certainly there and we did not give in at any stage. There have been heartaches in the past, but, the sun is on us at the moment, and we need to ride that momentum.”

“Kagiso Rabada is a phenomenal performer. Aiden Markram was outstanding! He showed grit and stepped up in the second innings, playing the way only he can. ‘Character’ truly defines him. As a team, we earned our place in the final. There were doubts, but this was our chance to silence them—and we’ve done that. Now, it’s time to celebrate with our nation,” Bavuma added.
