Team India captain Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh remain one of the most loved couples in India at present. Ritika has been constant support from the talismanic run-scorer and remains present in the stands to support his husband.

Incidentally, Rohit had tied the knot with Ritika in December 2015. They first met during a shoot and from there, there was no looking back for them. The first time Rohit Sharma saw his future wife, the right-handed batter was warned by Yuvraj Singh against even looking at her.

Speaking to Gaurav Kapur on Breakfast with Champions in 2017, Rohit had recalled Yuvraj’s warning and said, “I was at one of the shoots where Yuvraj and Irfan were also there with me. As soon as I reached, I went to meet Yuvi as he is a senior player and Ritika, who was managing the shoot was there as well.

Now, as I said hi to Yuvi Paji, he said, while pointing to Ritika, that Ye meri behan hai aur iski taraf dekhna bhi mat (She is my sister and don’t even try looking at her).”

Rohit Sharma further added:

“I then looked at Ritika with anger throughout the shoot, thinking who is she and all. After the shoot, about which I was not confident but everything went well, the director came to me and said we couldn’t record anything you said as the mic was off. I was like seriously and went down to take a walk. It is when Ritika came and said nicely to me that if you require any help please let me know.

Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh have a daughter Samaira. The couple keeps on posting cute and hilarious videos of their daughters.

Rohit Sharma to lead India against England

After a horrendous campaign in the Indian Premier League (IPL) where Mumbai Indians finished last in the points table, Rohit will hope to turn things around when he comes out to lead in the fifth and final Test against England.

Incidentally, this Test was rescheduled after COVID-19 cases broke out in the Indian camp last year. India will play a practice game before the Test match, which starts on July 1 in Birmingham.
