Hampshire County club on Thursday announced the signings of Colin Munro and Mujeeb Ur Rahman for the upcoming T20 Blast.
The star NZ opener is the only player to hit three T20I centuries and this will be really a boost for the squad. He will be available for the tournament until the start of CPL in August. South African star Dale Steyn is lined up to replace him after his stint. Munro, who is currently with the Delhi Daredevils hasn”t made a big impact in their camp as they managed only three wins in 12 games.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman who showed his class with a combination of leg and off breaks will also mark his presence in the Hampshire camp. He eventually became the first player from the 21st century to represent in the cash-rich Indian Premier League and his inclusion can make a difference.

The youngster took 14 scalps at an economy of 6.99 before being ruled out of an injury. He will be available for all the fixture of Hampshire in the T20 Blast.

Speaking on the same, Hampshire director Giles White said “Mujeeb has sort of burst onto the scene over the last six months. He”s been one of the finds of the IPL, so he comes in great form. I think he”s one of the leading bowlers in the IPL and he brings something completely different. Not a lot of guys will have faced him. Colin has been very successful for New Zealand over the past couple of years, so they”re very exciting signings.”
