Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner is one of the most entertaining cricketers in the tournament. One of the most consistent performers, Warner recently revealed his favourite Hyderabad cricketer during a social media conversation.

The pocket-sized dynamo from Australia has led Hyderabad from the front and also guided them to their maiden title in 2016. An entertainer both on and off the field, David Warner revealed his favourite teammate from Sunrisers Hyderabad and it is not T Natarajan.

Meanwhile, the Aussie was rooting for the young speedster in the last couple of weeks to make his debut in Australia. However, when it came to picking the best teammate, Warner went with Priyam Garg for his sheer ability to crack jokes inside the dressing room.

“A lot of fans have asked me who was my favourite in our team this year? I don’t have any as all my team mates are my favourites but this bloke @garg_priyam is a very funny boy he made us laugh very much and what a talent he is. #cricket #talent,” the Australian opener wrote on Instagram.

Sunrisers Hyderabad had a poor start to IPL 2020 but the side did well in the second half of the league stage to reach the playoffs. The David Warner-led side was knocked out of the tournament after suffering a loss against Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 2.

Reflecting on the same, Warner highlighted how nobody expected SRH to make it to the playoffs as the focus was entirely on top teams like Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.

“First and foremost, no one gave us a chance at the start,” Warner said. “Everyone was talking about the big three teams and, yes, Mumbai have obviously got a great team and they’ve played extremely well to get to the final.

Delhi as well, and obviously guys like RCB. I’m really proud to be where we are today. There’s a lot of positives out of our campaign,” Warner signed off.
