The outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic has locked one and all in their homes. Most parts of the world are practising social distancing to curb the spread of the deadly virus. As a result, the current and former cricketers are no exception to this lockdown. They have resorted to social media engagement with their fans to bite their time.

Since it broke out in China, the COVID-19 has taken away almost 50000 lives across the world. Italy, Spain, United States of America, and China are the most affected countries with the death toll increasing with each passing day. In India also, the numbers have gone up drastically in the last few days.

Recently, Team India all-rounder Krunal Pandya joined the bandwagon of players to host a question-answer session on social media platform Twitter with his fans and followers. He answered questions ranging from various topics including the name of his favourite cricketer.

When asked by a fan, Krunal picked the legendary batsman from West Indies, Brian Lara as his favourite overseas cricketer. Lara is one of the greatest of all time with his high bat lifts and glorious cover drive and was also treat to the eyes. He was one of the torchbearers of West Indies cricket in the 21st century scoring tons of runs during his career.

“Brian Lara.. loved his style, charismatic batting, loved watching him bat. Legend,” Krunal Pandya wrote in reply.

Meanwhile, Krunal Pandya, who has played 18 T20Is for India recently lost his place during the New Zealand series owing to inconsistent run with both bat and ball. The all-rounder from Baroda will have to hit the strides to be in the scheme of things with the ICC T20 World Cup lined up later this year.
