VIDEO: Irfan Pathan’s magical in-swinging delivery shatters the stumps: India’s swing sensation, Irfan Pathan has got his rhythm back after a while. He had a great start to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy this season as he scalped a five-wicket haul in Baroda’s thumping win against Assam. He looked in great shape following his injury in the opening match.
Baroda’s skipper led the side by example in his comeback match and delivered a match-winning performance. He rattled the Assam batting line up and ended his four-over spell as 5/13. This was his 150th T20 match in which came his best T20 spell of career.
However in the next game against Railways, he did not have the best of the day. Picked up one wicket of the Railways’ right-handed opener, Asad Pathan. The left-arm seamer bowled an in-swinging delivery to shatter the off-stump. This was a great sight for spectators, a dream delivery for a left-arm pacer to the right-handed batsman. This delivery reminded viewers of old days when Irfan’s lethal swinging deliveries used to go through batsman’s defence.
Irfan Pathan took to his official Twitter account to post a video of the dismissal and termed it as “not a bad delivery”.
