The last decade or so has seen the rise of domestic T20 leagues all over the world. But none has been able to amass the popularity and success that of the Indian Premier League.

The performance in the IPL is slowly becoming a sort of a benchmark to judge a player. However, there have been a few players, who have done well in the IPL but have struggled in other domestic T20 leagues.

In this article, we will take a look at the five players who did well in the Indian Premier League but have failed in other leagues so far.

Brendon McCullum in the Pakistan Super League

Brendon McCullum has played in several T20 leagues over the world. He slammed a Century in the first match of the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League. Since then, McCullum played in over 100 IPL matches, scoring 2880 runs, including two centuries.

Andre Russell in the Pakistan Super League

Over the years, Chris Lynn has represented the Jamaica Tallawahs, Guyana Amazon Warriors, Trinbago Knight Riders, and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. He has scored 880 runs in 40 matches in the Caribbean Premier League, averaging just over 25.

Dwayne Bravo in the Pakistan Super League

Dwayne Bravo has been a match-winner for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League over the last few years. He is the only overseas player to win the Purple Cap twice in the league.

In the Pakistan Super League, Bravo has only amassed 134 runs in 14 matches and has bagged 14 wickets. He has played for the Lahore Qalandars, Peshawar Zalmi, and the Quetta Gladiators.
