The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on July 25 (Sunday) announced the schedule of the second half of IPL 2021. Three-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will kick off their campaign in the UAE against defending champions Mumbai Indians on September 19 in the UAE.
It will be a tough ask for MS Dhoni & his boys after a poor outing in the last edition of the IPL. The Super Kings finished seventh in the last season and failed to qualify for the playoffs – the first time ever in IPL history.
Chennai Super Kings will play three matches at the Dubai International Stadium along with two each at Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

Chennai Super Kings are currently in the second spot after Delhi Capitals before the tournament was called off on May 4 due to the COVID crisis. MS Dhoni & Co will look to continue the rhythm when IPL 2021 resumes in the UAE on September 19.
