The BCCI announced squads for the 3 match T20I, 3 matches One day international and 2 Test match series against West Indies starting from 3rd August 2019.
With youngster like Navdeep Saini, Rahul Chahar getting a chance to represent India at the highest level, Manish Pandey and Shreyas Iyer made a comeback into the squads. Also, Wriddhiman Saha, Rohit Sharma were included in the Test squad.

Apart from these players, few youngsters performed well at India A level and at the domestic level and IPL, they were not able to get a chance in the Indian team for the West Indies tour.
After a stunning loss to New Zealand by 18 runs in the semi-finals, Pant is getting full chances of wicketkeeping in all three formats as MS Dhoni made himself unavailable.
