Shardul Thakur another promising youngster has done well in the domestic circuit for Mumbai. In last year’s Ranji Trophy, Thakur took 27 wickets in 10 matches with an economy of 3.02. His ability to bowl fast and surprise the batsmen makes him an impressive bowler.
He played for Kings XI Punjab in 2015 edition and could play 1 match. In this year’s edition of IPL, Rising Pune Supergiants purchased him. He performed well taking 11 wickets in 12 matches with best figures of 3/19 at an economy of 8.57 runs per over. Thakur was a selected for West Indies test series last year. Thakur has been the backbone for Mumbai domestic tournament.
Shardul Thakur made his ODI debut in the series against Sri Lanka. He performed well in South Africa A tri-series. Thakur could make his T20I debut soon in the home season.
