In a first of its kind tournament in Mumbai, SAMAT T20 Cup will be conducted for the registered corporate office clubs. At a time when Mumbai’s corporate cricket is facing crisis for lack of professionally conducted T20 Tournaments, Suraj Samat (President of the SKP Athletics Cricket Club) comes with a bang introducing such a big tournament for the corporates.
The tournament begins from 15th of January while the finals are on 6th of february with a big cash prize of Rs 6 Lakhs for the winning team. Another important note is that only 77 registered corporate office clubs can participate in this tournament.
Samat T20 Cup will be conducted in a Knockout format while the tournament is also approved by the Mumbai Cricket Association. The big bounties does not end with just the winning team winning Rs 6 lakhs, there is also a 3 lakhs cash prize for the runners-up team while the Best Bowler and Best Batsman will be awarded Rs 50,000/- each. The Man of the Series also wins a whopping Rs 1 Lakh Cash Prize alongwith a trophy.
The finals and semi-finals will be streamed live on Youtube while all the matches will be properly conducted with professional scoring, International standard rules & umpiring. T-shirts, 2 helmets and 2 cricket pads will be provided to all the participating teams by the tournament organizers.
