The team have made some notable releases and trades. Kolkata has retained 11 players and traded in 3 of them from other teams. The knight riders were the busiest during the trade window as they traded three players. Lockie Ferguson and Rahmanullah Gurbaz were traded from Gujarat Titans, and Shardul Thakur was traded from the Delhi Capitals.ย
Sam Billings and Pat Cummins will be unavailable for the upcoming season of the IPL. Cummins has sighted international commitments as a reason for missing the forthcoming edition.
In contrast, Billings stated that he wanted to focus on the test format and be in contention for England’s test team. Apart from the two, Alex Hales also doesn’t find a place in the team. According to reports, he will be unavailable for the IPL citing personal reasons.ย
