Arjun Tendulkar Gets Called Up in Mumbai Squad for Bapuna Cup

Arjun Tendulkar, the son of renowned cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar has received a call up in the 15 member Mumbai squad for the upcoming Bapuna Cup slated to be held in Nagpur. Arjun Tendulkar has impressed the selectors with his good all-round show. He also had a good time with both bat and the ball during the Mumbai T20 League.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) announced that the team will be led by experienced batsman Suryakumar Yadav. Meanwhile, it must be noted that the Bapuna Cup is a pre-season tournament which is organized by the Vidarbha Cricket Association. The tournament starts on 5th September. Meanwhile, Mumbai will be hoping to make Ajinkya Rahane available for the tournament as he is not part of the Indian ODI squad.

Arjun Tendulkar has earlier been a net bowler for the Indian team in the nets. Arjun who is an impressive left-arm pacer and a left-handed batsman was bagged for Rs 5 lakhs in the recent T20 Mumbai League. He also bowled to the England side in the nets a few years ago. Meanwhile, the Mumbai teams also boast of some good experienced names and the Junior Tendulkar will certainly benefit from his presence in the dressing room.

Squad: Suryakumar Yadav (Captain), Aditya Tare, Jay Bista, Sarfaraz Khan, Shubham Ranjane, Raunak Sharma, Eknath Kerkar, Sufiyan Shaikh, Akash Parkar, Shams Mulani, Aditya Dhumal, Shashank Attarde, Aquib Kureshi, Kruthik Hanagavadi and Arjun Tendulkar.
