Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Munaf breathed his last on January 28 (Tuesday) at the age of 84 in Amsterdam. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) expressed their grief while confirming the news of the demise.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Munaf made his first-class debut against Bahawalpur in 1953 and went on to make his Test debut against Australia in 1959 in Lahore. He played three more Tests for the country. Munaf posted his best Test figures of 4 for 42 versus England in Lahore in 1961. He also bagged 180 wickets in First-Class cricket for Sindh, Karachi and Pakistan Airlines, and ended up with six five-wicket hauls. He was also a useful batsman lower down the order, with four fifties to his name in first-class cricket.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani expressed his condolences on the demise of Mohammad Munaf. Hailing his cricketing abilities, Mani shared the grief with Munaf's family and friends. He also promised to be by his family's side in this grave time.
"The PCB is saddened by the news of Munaf's passing away. Munaf was one of those respected cricketers who made their name at the first-class level in the early days of Pakistan cricket. We share the grief of his friends and family and express our deepest sympathies," PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani said.
