Team India got off to a horrible start in the second innings against Australia in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup on Thursday, February 23 at Newlands in Cape Town. Chasing 173 runs, they lost both their openers early for just fifteen runs on the board in the third over. Yastika Bhatia’s run-out made things worse for the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team.
In the fourth over, Darcie Brown bowled full delivery to Yastika Bhatia, who shuffled down the wicket, and flicked the delivery. She set off for a run, calling for a quick single. However, Jemimah Rodrigues thought about the run, and turned back to her crease. Unfortunately, both the batters were stranded at the non-strikers end. Alyssa Healy completed the formalities of the run-out as the wicket-keeper batter walked back to the hut disappointed. She managed just four runs from seven deliveries, as India was reduced to 28 for three down.
Let’s take a look at how fans reacted to Yastika Bhatia’s run-out:
Yastika's run-out proves India just haven't turned up for the semi-final against Australia. Over to Harmanpreet how, the last hope. 🙏 #T20WorldCup #INDvAUS

Strike rotation has been an issue with Yastika Bhatia and that eventually contributed to her run out

Not going India's way at the moment. A confusion in the middle has resulted in the run out of Yastika Bhatia.

Tbh they didn't deserve to win, such a poor performance.
Worst fielding, and getting out on average deliveries and now this run out of Yastika 🤦Why they can't just play their natural game, why so fumble?#INDWvsAUSW

Harmanpreet Kaur goes after scoring fifty, India in huge trouble
Team India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur was run-out after scoring a fifty in the semi-final against Australia. Gardner dived to stop the delivery and threw it back to the wicket-keeper. Harmanpreet’s bat struck in the ground while completing the second run. Healy dislodged the bails to dismiss the Indian skipper for 52 runs.
