Gujarat Giants unveiled their jersey for the upcoming inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) on Sunday, February 26 through social media. They will kick off their WPL journey with the season opener. The Gujarat-based franchise will take on the Mumbai Indians on Saturday, March 4 at the DY Pation Stadium in Mumbai.
The Gujarat Titans took to Instagram to share a video of their jersey for the season. The jersey is orange in color and features a lioness. Unveiling their jersey, Gujarat Titans wrote, “Presenting to you, our jersey for the inaugural @wplt20 season. The glorious jersey depicts the passion & enthusiasm of our lionesses who are set to give it their all in the first ever season!”

Gujarat Titans was bought by the Adani Sportsline for a whopping 1,287 Crores. Former India skipper Mithali Raj is the mentor and advisor of the team, while Rachael Haynes is the Head coach. The franchise has a great set of overseas players, likes of Beth Mooney, Ashleigh Garnder, Deandra Dottin, and others. Meanwhile, Sneh Rana, S Meghana, Harleen Deol, and Hurley Gala’s presence will be a boost for the team.

Rachael Haynes feels that the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is an exciting edition in world cricket. She expressed that she is looking forward to working with the Gujarat Titans players and the team’s support staff. After her announcement as the Head coach, Rachael Haynes said,
“The Women’s Premier League is such an exciting addition to the cricket landscape. The opportunity to be involved in the inaugural season with the Adani Sportline-owned Gujarat Giants, and work with the brilliant Mithali Raj is something I’m really looking forward to.”
“We have formed a wonderful coaching team, with Nooshin Al Khadeer, Tushar Arothe, and Gavan Twining. They will be bringing on board their rich experience which will help the team to play an exciting brand of cricket which our fans will enjoy watching,” she added.
