The Indian Cricket Team is looking in dominating position as they made batting look easy at the tea break on the 4th Day of the 4th Test match played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on 12 March 2023.
Starting on the overnight score of 259 for 3, it was a disciplined start for the Australian bowlers keeping tight lines and lengths not allowing Ravindra Jadeja and Virat Kohli to score runs quickly. Ravindra Jadeja looked edgy hitting an airy shot that went close to the mid-on fielder. He tried another big shot, but this time provided a simple catch to Khawaja at the same spot. Virat Kohli looked in disbelief as he could not go over the top of the fielder. Ravindra Jadeja and Kohli added 64 runs for the 4th wicket.
What is this behaviour @imjadeja?? Virat sure looks pissed. #BorderGavaskarTrophy2023 #ViratKohli𓃵 #TestCricket #AhmedabadTest pic.twitter.com/2tTdStjO09

Srikar Bharat looked in decent touch with a brilliant six off Nathan Lyon’s bowling. He showed intent with some lovely shots while Virat Kohli also played according to the merit of the delivery. Bharat was promoted ahead of Shreyas Iyer as the latter went to scan for his lower back problem.
Kohli and Bharat looked solid enough as they went into the lunch break 362 for 4. After the lunch break, both Indian batters upped the ante with attacking shots. Lyon ended 84 runs partnership for the 5th wicket dismissing Bharat with a simple catch by Handscomb at short leg. Axar Patel looked solid with his defensive technique.
Virat Kohli scored his first Test century since November 2019
Virat Kohli looked solid with his defensive technique and hit some lovely shots keeping the scoreboard ticking. He started day 4 on 59 and looked impressive making life tough for Australian bowlers who bowled with control at the start.
He showed his composure to complete his first Test century since November 2019. It was well constructed knock reaching 100 off 241 deliveries with only 5 boundaries.
