The upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup commencing from March 21 has all the ingredients to be bigger than ever and Team India will be rooting to bring home the trophy. Ahead of the mega event, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has asserted that they will miss the services of experienced Jhulan Goswami and Mithali Raj. However, reiterated that they have the young power, who can deliver the desired results.
Notably, Mithali Raj retired from T20 cricket last year to concentrate on the ODIs while Jhulan Goswami had not played the 2018 edition either. The average age of India’s squad in for the premier competition is 22.8 with skipper Harmanpreet being among the senior cricketers, having played all the editions of the T20 World Cup.

Speaking at the captain's meet, Harmanpreet Kaur said that although they will miss Goswami and Raj but they have the firepower to win the trophy. Harmanpreet went on to add how Team India is in great shape at the moment and how everyone is fulfilling the team management’s expectations.
“We already miss the experience they share with us, but these young girls are showing their talent and ability,” said the 30-year-old, while speaking at the captains’ media day at Taronga Zoo in Sydney.
India will begin their campaign on February 24 when they lock horns with Bangladesh in Perth.
