Veteran Bangladesh cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim has been in the news after his scintillating double hundred against Zimbabwe at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Meanwhile, during his knock, Rahim avoided a freakish dismissal with his back as the Tigers have taken the driver’s seat in the only Test match.
Mushfiqur Rahim played a gem of an innings knocking his third Test double ton helped Bangladesh take a comfortable 286-run lead over the visitors in the one-off match. They closed their innings on 560 for six in the final session of the third day to give the bowlers some overs to have a go at the Zimbabwe batters.

Meanwhile, during his swashbuckling knock, Mushfiqur Rahim almost got himself out once. The incident took place in the 140th over of Bangladesh’s innings as Rahim defended a full delivery which got low. However, the drama started after that the ball trickles back towards the stumps. But thanks to his presence of mind, Rahim blocked the ball and avoided a freaking dismissal. The ball kicked up but the wicket-keeper batsman put his body to shield the red cherry and ensured safe play.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh will be aiming to win the Test match and gear up for the upcoming matches to follow. The bowlers will have two days in their hand to bowl out Zimbabwe for the second time. The visitors are already four wickets down with 87 runs on the board and are striving for a defeat.
