They have united with the franchise for the ‘RCB Unbox’ event. During the event, the duo will be inducted into the Royal Challengers Bangalore Hall of Fame.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore shared the news of Chris Gayle and Ab de Villiers’ arrival in Bengaluru with the fans through posts on social media. They wrote, “The Universe Boss has arrived at his favorite home. Entertainment has officially begun. Happy HOMECOMING, Chris!”

The duo has served the franchise well in the past years. Chris Gayle slammed the highest individual score in the IPL (175*) for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. AB de Villiers has also been a match-winner for the team playing in the middle-order. Earlier this month, the Royal Challengers Bangalore announced the RCB Unbox event. They also shared that Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers will be present at the event for the RCB Hall of Fame induction.

Royal Challengers Bangalore to play against Mumbai Indians in their season-opener
The Royal Challengers Bangalore will kick off their campaign in the 2023 Indian Premier League against Mumbai Indians on Saturday, April 2 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Faf du Plessis-led team reached the knock-outs last season but lost to the Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier. They will be keen to make progress this season and clinch their maiden Indian Premier League title.
