As the England opener Jos Buttler is not likely to play in today’s match against Delhi Capitals, the onus will be on Sanju Samson to score the bulk of runs for Rajasthan Royals and hope to continue the superb form that he displayed so far.
Sanju Samson will be a key batter for Rajasthan Royals today and if he bats for a longer time, then he could help the RR side win the contest.
- Rilee Rossouw
Rilee Rossouw did not contribute much to the first two matches of IPL 2023. With Mitchell Marsh missing from this game, Rossouw would be promoted higher up the order and provide some stability to the Delhi Capitals’ batting lineup.
Rossouw would be hoping to showcase his attacking skills for Delhi Capitals against Rajasthan Royals. If he gets to bat more overs, then he could be a destructive batter that can change the course of the game.
It will be important for Rossouw to get set and then produce some big shots helping Delhi Capitals to register their first win of the tournament.
- Yashavi Jaiswal
The left-handed opener from Rajasthan Royals Yashavi Jaiswal started the tournament with a fifty against Sunrisers Hyderabad and then fell cheaply against Punjab Kings.
He is known to provide aggressive starts and can put Delhi Capitals bowlers under pressure in the first six overs. With Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson in the Rajasthan Royals squad, Jaiswal does not get much applause.
His opening blitz would help Rajasthan Royals to lay a strong foundation and make sure that RR can win the match easily.
