With Indian Premier League (IPL) being postponed until April 15, Chennai Super Kings has called off training seasons amid the rise in the spread of coronavirus pandemic. Meanwhile, MS Dhoni, who began training from March 2 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, returned to his hometown Ranchi.
There were huge turnouts at the Chepauk Stadium, who came to see their favourite star train. MS Dhoni, who has been out of action since India’s loss to New Zealand in the ICC World Cup 2019 semifinal in England didn’t disappoint the fans as he looked in great touch with the bat.

The 38-year-old was seen hitting five consecutive sixes in the training and also struck a whirlwind century to gear up for IPL 2020 before it was called off in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. Dhoni also looked on top of fitness and a recent video shared by Chennai Super Kings from their official Twitter handle proves it further.
In the video which has now gone viral, MS Dhoni was seen playing football along with his teammates as a part of a warm-up session. Notably, everyone is aware of Dhoni’s love for soccer and that he was a goalkeeper while growing up before shifting his focus to cricket. Furthermore, he also owns a football team Chennaiyan FC, who play in the Indian Super League.

Meanwhile, with IPL postponed, the fans will have to wait longer for MS Dhoni to return to cricket. He last played during the ICC 2019 World Cup in England and since then went on a sabbatical following a poor run with the bat. He is anticipated to return to Team India for one final time during the ICC T20 World Cup later this year.
