The whole world has come together to fight the pandemic coronavirus which has taken lives of more than 20000 people across the globe. In India also the situation looks gloomy with each passing day as the death toll has risen to 12 with 600 positive cases in the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the media on March 24 (Tuesday) cleared a complete lockdown in the country until April 14. Modi feels there is a need for social distancing which will help the country fight the deadly virus which is spreading at a rapid pace.

Similarly, Pakistan have also declared a complete lockdown in public places to fight out the deadly virus. And, the cricketers have now joined hands with the government in the fight for humanity. The centrally-contracted cricketers will contribute PKR 5 million to the national government’s emergency fund to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ehsan Mani on Wednesday said apart from centrally-contracted players contributing PKR 5 million, the employees in the board, up to the senior manager level, will contribute their one day’s salary. Meanwhile, those employed as general managers or on higher posts will give two days’ salary to the fund.

“The PCB will collect all these funds and deposit it to the government’s coronavirus fund,” Ehsan Mani had said.
In another humanitarian move, PCB has already given its high performances centre in Karachi at the national stadium to be used by paramedical staff working at the special coronavirus hospital. So far, Pakistan have recorded more than 1000 positive cases of COVID-19.
