Suresh Raina, a former batter for the Chennai Super Kings, praised all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for his outstanding performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. SRH was held to a first-inning score of 134 for 7 thanks in part to Jadeja’s three-wicket haul for CSK.

Suresh Raina, a former player for the Chennai Super Kings, praised all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for his outstanding performance against SunRisers Hyderabad at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. Jadeja took three wickets, assisting CSK in limiting SRH to 134 for 7 in the first innings.

With an economy of 5.50 and three wickets taken, Jadeja finished his four overs. He also conceded just 22 runs. Raina praised his former teammate on Twitter after Jadeja’s spell!

Abhishek Sharma, the SRH team’s opening batsman, was dismissed by the all-round spinner, giving him his first evening wicket. The 34-year-old bowled a short ball to Abhishek, who hit it directly at Ajinka Rahane at long-on and left the field after making 34 runs off 26 balls.

The risky Rahul Tripathi was then removed by Jadeja in the 12th over to push the visitors back. Akash Singh at short fine leg made a comfortable catch after Tripathi attempted to slog-sweep a full delivery, leaving SRH reeling at 84 for 3. Tripathi had attempted to slog-sweep the delivery but instead got a top edge.

Aiden Markram, the SRH captain and a dangerous batsman, was removed in the very next over by Maheesh Theekshana, and Jadeja then returned to claim his third wicket of the evening.

Jadeja was unable to catch and bowl Mayank Agarwal in his final over due to a collision with non-striker Heinrich Klaasen. He had to wait for his third wicket.

However, Jadeja saw Agarwal stepping out and bowled a quick, short-length delivery that completely beat the batter on the penultimate ball of his final over. Before the batter could release the ball, MS Dhoni had already taken out the bails. Jadeja skillfully ended his spell. Agarwal left after scoring two runs off of four balls.
