“Sanju Samson is my favourite player in the IPL. He is so calm and laid-back that I actually think he and Mahi Bhai are practically twins. Sanju is solely to blame for the 10% or whatever growth I experienced as a bowler over the past year. “You have four over, bowl however you like; I’m not holding you back,” he said, according to Chahal.
Chahal won the Purple Cap award in his first season with Rajasthan after taking 27 wickets while Samson served as captain. He is currently ranked second this season with 12 strikeouts in seven innings and an 8-point 07 economy rate.
Whether it was Mahi bhai, Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma as my captains. I believe that I received the freedom a bowler needs from all three of them. So yeah, that’s the one thing I got, Chahal said.
