Whatever development I have experienced. Because of Sanju, Chahal chooses Samson as his “favourite” IPL captain, passing over MS Dhoni.

Chahal chose Samson as his preferred captain for the competition. Passing over the illustrious MS Dhoni, who is frequently hailed as the best IPL captain ever.

Sanju Samson endured criticism for his IPL inconsistency for many years. Which led to a protracted wait for another call-up to the Indian team.

However, the world of cricket saw a new Samson when he returned to the Rajasthan Royals for a second stint. He batted more responsibly and consistently, which led to his promotion to captaincy.

In this position where he also excelled, he led RR to their first IPL final since their victorious run in 2008 in 2022.

Throughout his playing career, Yuzvendra Chahal has played for numerous captains. He has performed for India while playing for MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and currently Rohit Sharma.

Chahal played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore for eight IPL seasons under Kohli before switching to the Rajasthan Royals. He also paid close attention to Samson and his captaincy during his two seasons with the team and was glowing in his praise of Samson’s leadership abilities.

In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Chahal chose Samson as his preferred captain rather than the renowned MS Dhoni.

Who is frequently hailed as the best IPL captain ever? He added that in terms of captaincy style, the young player is very similar to Dhoni.

“Sanju Samson is my favourite player in the IPL. He is so calm and laid-back that I actually think he and Mahi Bhai are practically twins. Sanju is solely to blame for the 10% or whatever growth I experienced as a bowler over the past year. “You have four over, bowl however you like; I’m not holding you back,” he said, according to Chahal.

Chahal won the Purple Cap award in his first season with Rajasthan after taking 27 wickets while Samson served as captain. He is currently ranked second this season with 12 strikeouts in seven innings and an 8-point 07 economy rate.

Whether it was Mahi bhai, Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma as my captains. I believe that I received the freedom a bowler needs from all three of them. So yeah, that’s the one thing I got, Chahal said.
