I dont think this is the way player like #SanjuSamson should make the batsman out!! The ball didn’t even touch the bail and went off. Very well cheated and fixed my dear #SanjuSamson!!And even the third umpire didn’t check it. Nice script work to fix the match#MIvsRR #IPL2023 pic.twitter.com/hHbJvvWCKk

As Mumbai started their home chase of 213 on the occasion of Rohit’s 36th birthday. He hoped to make it big with a memorable knock. However, Sandeep Sharma dismissed the captain in the second over, ending the innings early.
It was a knuckleball from the pacer and Rohit attempted to deflect it to the off side by moving backwards. But he was fooled by the speed and was unable to make contact as the delivery kissed the top of the off.
When Rohit Sharma was dismissed, it caught him off guard and he stood there staring at the stumps. Before returning to the pavilion after making three runs off of five balls.
Observant followers on Twitter first noted that Rohit’s dismissal was invalid a little while after the dismissal. It appeared that the ball had struck the bail on top of the off stump. But it hadn’t fallen off the stumps in a social media video that showed a close-up of the stumps.
The bails appeared to have been moved by the slightest touch of the wicketkeeper’s gloves. Only seconds after Samson had collected the ball after it had struck the stumps. Ishan Kishan attempted to lead Mumbai’s chase in the powerplay after Rohit was dismissed early. But Cameron Green soon joined him with a knock of 44 of his own.
Suryakumar Yadav was on his way to a 55-run knock, smashed Kuldeep Sen for 20 runs in one over. Which marked Mumbai’s turnaround. Tim David’s incredible 14-ball 45 helped MI complete the 213-run chase with three balls remaining after that.
