IPL 2023: [WATCH] Virat Kohli And Naveen UL Haq Involve In A On-Field Verbal Battle

Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Lucknow Super Giants in a low-scoring match played at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow on 1 May 2023 in the ongoing IPL 2023. However, both Virat Kohli and Naveen UL Haq were involved in an on-field battle as well.

RCB bowlers did a remarkable job defending 127 against Lucknow Super Giants on a tough batting wicket. Virat Kohli and Naveen UL Haq were on the verge of throwing punches. The incident took place when teams shook hands after the match.

It was a great bowling performance as Royal Challengers Bangalore bowled out LSG for just 108 runs. KL Rahul came to bat at number 11 due to an injury he suffered during the batting innings. Naveen UL Haq and Virat Kohli did not go well.

Chasing down 127 runs, Lucknow Super Giants did not begin well as they lost an early wicket of Kyle Mayers. Ayush Badoni came to open the innings but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. At the end of the first six overs, LSG looked in deep trouble.

Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers showed great discipline and made life tough for LSG batters. Karn Sharma took 2 important wickets from Nicolas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis to put KL Rahul led the side in trouble.

RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and decided to bat first. Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli started well putting pressure on LSG bowlers keeping the scoreboard ticking. After 62 runs opening partnership for the opening wicket, it was a tough wicket to bat on as RCB kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Thanks to a disciplined bowling effort, RCB could only post 126 for 9 in 20 overs. Faf du Plessis was the top scorer with 44.

With this win, RCB moved to fifth place in the points table and would look to prove their worth in upcoming matches.
