KL Rahul, captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, stated on Tuesday that his surgery went well and he hopes of returning in action soon. Rahul was disqualified from the World Test Championship final as well as the remaining IPL games.
At the May 1 game between LSG and KL Rahul, a thigh injury occurred. For the treatment of his thigh injury, Rahul underwent surgery. Rahul was disqualified from the World Test Championship championship match.
KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, revealed on May 9 that surgery to repair a thigh injury he sustained during an IPL 2023 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 1 was successful.
After his surgery, KL Rahul reported that he was in good health and preparing for an immediate comeback. KL Rahul sustained a thigh injury while attempting to stop a boundary against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Lucknow. which caused him to be sidelined for the remainder of the IPL.
While fielding, Rahul pulled up in pain and needed assistance getting off the field. Rahul also announced earlier in May that he wouldn’t be competing in the World Test Championship championship match against Australia in June.

In contrast to the previous few seasons, Rahul struggled with his form in the 2023 IPL as his dry spell across all formats of the game persisted.
The Indian batsman was benched from the Test team after a string of poor performances in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, but he was kept in the World Test Championship final squad because Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer were injured.
