In the final league stage match between Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday, Virat Kohli scored his eighth IPL century, showcasing his batting prowess once more.
His century was in vain, though, as GT was able to win with six wickets remaining thanks to young batsman Shubman Gill, who also hit his second straight IPL century.
The Mumbai Indians were given a pass into the playoffs as RCB was eliminated from the competition as a result of this defeat. As Kohli failed to lead RCB to the desired title, it was yet another heartbreak for him.

By bowing out of the competition after this defeat, RCB made room for the Mumbai Indians to advance to the Playoffs. As Kohli failed to lead RCB to the desired title, it was yet another heartbreak for him.
Kevin Pietersen, a former England captain, suggested that Kohli should leave RCB and join the Delhi Capitals after RCB was eliminated.
“Time for VIRAT to make the move to the capital city…! #IPL,” tweeted Pietersen.

Ain't happening ever. Kohli can never be the one who would leave RCB just for trophy.

Don’t think he will move out of RCB but if that happens, then Virat might want to be in CSK to continue his IPL journey under his forever Captain Dhoni.

He should do it asap !

Regarding the game, Kohli’s 61-ball 101 in Royal Challengers Bangalore’s 197 for five appeared to be the best performance of the day. Gill will carry the Indian batting torch for the next ten years, proving that he is better than the best.
Gill outperformed Kohli, enabling the Titans to easily reach their goal thanks to his unbeaten 104 off 52 balls. This was Gill’s second straight hundred, similar to the former captain of India Kohli.
Due to a higher net run rate, CSK finished second in the league standings with 17 points over Lucknow Super Giants. While Titans finished with 20 points at the conclusion of the league’s matches. After defeating SRH by eight wickets, Mumbai Indians returned to the final four with 16 points.
Gill’s short-arm half-jab, half-pull off Mohammed Siraj with 34 needed off three overs was the game-ending blow. He followed that up by hitting him for another six. Kohli shook his head in disbelief in the dugout as the game was about to end.
