Gurkeerat Singh Mann, a batter for Punjab, has described how Gujarat Titans opener Shubman Gill gets ready to bat before every game. Gill is currently in fine form.
In the current IPL 2023, Shubman Gill has been in excellent shape. With a strike rate of 152.47, he has scored 680 runs in 14 innings, including four fifty-run performances and two centuries.
Gill finished the league stage with 730 runs, trailing only RCB captain Faf du Plessis (730). His back-to-back centuries against Sunrisers Hyderabad (101) and RCB (104*) have given him a lot of confidence going into the IPL 2023 playoffs.

Gurkeerat Singh Mann said of Shubman Gill, “Shubman Gill is like the class topper who studies hard before the exam”.
”Prior to every match, he puts in a lot of preparation. He designated the zones in which he could hit a specific bowler. He views the bowlers’ videos in total. During the match’s buildup, he goes all out “.
Mann added that, ”For instance, Chepauk will host the upcoming game. According to Chepauk’s dimensions, he has begun training in nets. He visualizes everything, which gives him an advantage on game day. He prepares diligently for exams, much like the class top student”.

A historic 2023 has been had by Shubman Gill. Early in January, during the home bilateral series against New Zealand, he reached both his first T20I ton and double-hundred.
Prior to making his T20I debut this year, the Punjab-born cricketer had only appeared in three One-Day Internationals during his initial phase (2019–2020) and had been in and out of the Test team.
Gurkeerat Mann provided the following explanation of how Shubman Gill improved his power-hitting technique and acquired a wide variety of shots:
“Over the years, he refined his short-arm jab and his slap shot through the covers. He was very frail and lacked that power when he played junior cricket. He has also developed his power play”.
Mann added that – ”After experiencing his first failure in his international career, he evolved a variety of powerful strokes. It was the first time he had trouble scoring runs, but he kept working and recovered as a more accomplished player”.
