Rayudu played for the Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, which combined to win the IPL six times, the most recent of which was in Ahmedabad.
Ambati Rayudu has played for India in both limited-overs formats and announced his retirement from all levels of Indian cricket in a lengthy statement on Tuesday. Rayudu played in 55 ODIs and 7 T20 Internationals.
However, it surprised a lot of people, including Rayudu, who vented his resentment in a contentious tweet. Rayudu had previously announced his retirement from the sport following his snub before making a U-turn.

The former cricketer posted a lengthy statement on Twitter on Tuesday in which he thanked everyone who had supported him along the way.
“It was a special IPL win at the end of an emotional night. I’d like to end on a high note by announcing my retirement from all Indian cricket formats. I had no idea the wonderful journey that would unfold over the next three decades when I first picked up the cricket bat as a young child while playing tennis at home”.
”From the Under-15 level to the highest level, I have had the greatest honor of representing my nation. I will always treasure the memory of the day in 2013 when I first received my India cap”.
”The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA), the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA), and the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) deserve my sincere gratitude for having faith in me and allowing me to demonstrate my talents on the field”.
“I also want to express my gratitude to Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, the two IPL teams I played for. I am honored to have won the IPL six times by the time I retire”.
”IPL titles with Chennai Super Kings in 2018, 2021, and of course 2023 will always be among my fondest memories. They were both a part of Mumbai Indians’ first-ever IPL victory in 2013”.
“Playing alongside captain Dhoni bhai for both Team India and CSK has also been an enormous honor. We have shared some wonderful experiences over the past 20 years, both on and off the field, that I will cherish always”.
”None of this would have been possible without the assistance of my devoted family, especially my father Sambasiva Rao”.
”Since this memorable journey would not have been possible without you all. I would like to express my gratitude to all of my teammates, support staff, fans, and coaches from my early days. And I appreciate you supporting me through the good times and bad. I really appreciated your encouragement, thank you”.
“See you on the other side”.
