Unfazed by Singh’s efforts to contain him, de Kock continued his assault. Moving across the stumps, he efficiently picked up a slower delivery, effortlessly pulling it over fine leg to complete a hat-trick of towering sixes.

With an impressive total of 264 runs in seven innings at an average of 44, the South African batsman made an indelible mark on the MLC. De Kock had earlier played an instrumental knock of 88* from 50 deliveries, steering SOR to a comfortable run-chase victory. In the showdown against MI NY, SOR’s batting prowess was once again evident, as they posted their second-highest total of the tournament. Opting to bat first, SOR amassed an imposing 183/9, largely propelled by de Kock’s heroics.
