India staged a remarkable comeback against West Indies, leveling the five-match Twenty20 cricket series at 2-2 with a commanding nine-wicket victory. In the fourth T20 international, West Indies opted to bat first and set a decent target of 178-8. However, India’s response was swift and dominant, as they comfortably reached 179-1 in just 17 overs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal played a pivotal role with an unbeaten 84 off 51 balls, while Shubman Gill contributed an impressive 77 off 47 deliveries. Their opening partnership of 165 runs laid the foundation for India’s victory, highlighted by a combined total of 14 fours and eight sixes.

The series decider is set to take place at Central Broward Stadium, where India will face West Indies in a crucial match. This turnaround is noteworthy, considering India was trailing 2-0 before making a comeback.

West Indies displayed a solid start, scoring 14 runs in the opening over and concluding with 17 runs in the final over. Shimron Hetmyer shone with a 39-ball 61, featuring three fours and four sixes, while Shai Hope contributed 45 runs off 29 balls.

Twitter Reactions After India’s Spectacular Win:

Spinner Kuldeep Yadav made an impact by taking two wickets for just two runs in his first over, including the dismissals of Nicholas Pooran and West Indies captain Rovman Powell. Arshdeep Singh also played a significant role with figures of 3-38.

Both teams made notable changes to their line-ups, with West Indies introducing Jason Holder, Odean Smith, and Hope in place of Johnson Charles, Roston Chase, and Alzarri Joseph. India maintained the same winning combination that secured a seven-wicket victory in the third T20.

This series of T20 matches has generated heightened interest in the United States, coinciding with the recent launch of Major League Cricket. The anticipation for the T20 World Cup, which is set to be co-hosted by the U.S. and West Indies next year, adds to the significance of these matches for the future of the sport.
